The “Prize Papers” contain many exciting, unusual and special items that we would like to share with you. Therefore, we will be presenting some of the items that caught the attention of our team during the examination of the collection to you on this page.
This map was commissioned by King George to display the area of Tortola Road Harbour in 1807.
The lottery organized in 1721 by royal authorization and under the control of the Lieutenant General of Police is well known. It was initiated by the parish priest, Jean Baptiste Joseph Languet de Gergy, in order to restart the construction of the church of Saint-Sulpice, which was more or less completed in 1745.
